    You might mean ketoacidosis.

    This is called diabetic ketoacidosis and it happens when the body doesn’t have enough insulin. Without insulin, glucose can’t enter the cells to be used for energy. The sugar level in the blood rises and the body starts using fat for energy. This produces toxic acids called ketones. Unchecked, the diabetic becomes (keto)acidotic and loses consciousnes.
